Fastplus soft edge foam masking tape EMT1 provides an easy and fast way to mask door jambs, hoods, trunk lids, and other apertures while being painted, preventing paint overspray from entering those areas. The foam tape provides a soft edge which allows the paint to transition gradually into the foam to prevent hard paint lines. The formulated adhesive is easily removed without residue and allows for repositioning while not perfectly positioned. • Clean areas to be masked off, and use painting prep to remove grease, oils, and contaminants.
• Open the door, trunk, or hood and affix soft edge masking tape to the jamb.
• Test fit occasionally to ensure the foam fills the gap between the jamb and door, trunk, or hood.
• When the door is closed it may be necessary to push in the tape using a plastic or wooden stick.
• After the paint has been completed, simply pull up the masking tape at a 45° angle to the surface to ensure a clean removal, resulting in no adhesive or foam being left on the surface.
