How to Sand and Polish Epoxy Resin to Mirror Finish? 

Sanding and polishing epoxy resin to a mirror finish involves a systematic and consistent approach. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

• Step 1: Clean the surface thoroughly with a cloth.
• Step 2: Now you can sand by hand or with an orbital polisher. We recommend using the lowest possible speed to get the best result.
  Start dry sanding with 320-500 grit paper or net sanding discs.
  Note: Sand the entire surface evenly with circular movements and light pressure.
• Step 3: Apply 1000 or 1200-grit film sanding discs or waterproof sandpaper for wet sanding. Note: Moisten the sandpaper or the surface with water occasionally.
• Step 4: Afterwards, use 2000 grit film sanding discs or waterproof sandpaper. Note: Moisten the sandpaper or the surface with water occasionally.
• Step 5: Use 3000 or 5000-grit fine finishing discs to finish sanding.
• Step 6: Remove the sandpaper from the orbital sander or polisher and attach a soft sponge to it. Rinse the surface or wipe it with a damp cloth to remove any residual grains from the sanding.
• Step 7: Apply Polishing cream on the damp sponge. Use by hand or with an orbital polisher, using a large circular motion and exerting slight pressure.
• Step 8: Clean the surface with plenty of water to remove all the remaining residues.
